Foster With Us

IMPORTANT: Animals at Cats By The Tracks do not receive an initial vet check unless deemed sick. If this is not something you’re comfortable with, please do not apply to be a foster.

As a foster for Cats By The Tracks, I agree to provide a CBTT representative access to all parts of my home and property for a home inspection before my application is approved. I agree that I am over 21 years of age, and that I may be required to provide foster care for an extended, indefinite period of time.

I understand that CBTT provides no guarantee as to the health of my foster animal, who may have medical needs, socialization problems, or may not be housebroken. I agree to provide veterinary care only as authorized by CBTT, and will not arrange or pay for elective veterinary care without express consent from an authorized CBTT representative. I will take all necessary precautions to prevent my foster animal from impregnating or becoming impregnated, and will notify CBTT immediately if that occurs.

I understand I have no right of ownership over my foster animal, and that CBTT’s rights to the animal are superior to mine. I agree to provide a CBTT representative access to my home to check on my foster animal at any time, and to immediately return the animal to CBTT upon request, for any reason.

If I am planning to move, I agree to contact CBTT beforehand with updated contact information. As long as I provide satisfactory foster care, I will be given first right of adoption when CBTT places the animal for adoption. I will not transfer possession of my foster animal to anyone else, except for temporary, short-term care such as vet visits or grooming. I understand that failure to comply with this agreement gives CBTT the right to terminate it and request immediate surrender of my foster animal(s).
